Rental agreement

The rental

• This agreement is between Ridgeline Tool Rental ("we", "us") and the person making the reservation ("you"). It covers the tools and equipment listed on your reservation for the rental dates shown there.
• Your reservation confirmation lists the items, dates, times, pickup or delivery details, price, deposit and any add-ons. It is part of this agreement.

Pickup, delivery and return

• Rentals start and end at the times on your reservation. If you need more time, ask before your return time; we'll extend it when the items are free, at the rates shown at checkout.
• Late returns without an extension may be charged for the extra days at your rental rate.

Care and condition

• Use the items safely, only for their intended purpose, and return them clean and in the condition you received them, allowing for normal wear.
• Report any damage, fault or accident to us as soon as possible. Do not keep using an item that seems unsafe.

Safe operation

• You must be at least 18 to rent, and only people who know how to operate the tool safely may use it. We show you how each tool starts, stops and is loaded at pickup.
• Wear the safety gear the tool calls for, such as eye and hearing protection, gloves and closed-toe shoes.
• Before digging, call 811 to have underground utilities marked. You are responsible for any utility lines you strike.

Fuel, blades and consumables

• Return fueled tools with the fuel level they left with, or we'll charge for refueling. Blades, bits and sanding paper wear out; worn parts are charged as listed at checkout.
• Do not repair or modify a tool. If it stops working, stop using it and call us.

Damage, loss and deposits

• You are responsible for loss, theft and damage beyond normal wear while the items are in your care, up to their repair or replacement cost.
• Any refundable deposit or optional damage protection is shown at checkout. We release the deposit after the items come back in good condition, minus any charges described here.

Cancellations

• Our cancellation policy is shown when you reserve and in your confirmation email, and it is part of this agreement.

Risk and responsibility

• You accept the ordinary risks of using rental equipment. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for injury, loss or damage caused by misuse, by not following instructions, or by events outside our control. Nothing in this agreement limits rights you have that the law does not allow us to limit.
